1)Tsinghua University (Ranks No.1 in China)

Tsinghua University (Chinese: 清华大学) is a major research university in Beijing, and a member of the C9 League of Chinese universities. Since its establishment in 1911, it has graduated Chinese leaders in science, engineering, politics, business, academia, and culture. The university ranks No.1 in China and is consistently ranked within the top 20 universities in the world in several most cited global university rankings and is considered to be the best university in the Asia by THE Asia and the US News and Emerging countries by the QS BRICS and the THE Emerging.

2)Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Ranks No.4 in China)

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU; simplified Chinese: 上海交通大学; traditional Chinese: 上海交通大學) is a major research university in Shanghai. Established on April 8, 1896, as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict issued by the Guangxu Emperor, it is one China’s oldest universities. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a C9 League university and a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University.Internationally, SJTU is ranked among 63rd globally by ARWU (2020). The institution came seventh in the QS BRICS University Ranking and sixth in the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020 by Times Higher Education. In 2020, it was ranked 37th among the universities around the world by SCImago Institutions Rankings.

3)Tongji University  (Ranks No.20 in China)

Tongji University (simplified Chinese: 同济大学; traditional Chinese: 同濟大學; pinyin: Tóngjì Dàxué) is a comprehensive university located in Shanghai. Established in 1907 by the German government together with German physicians in Shanghai, Tongji is one of the oldest and most selective, most prestigious universities in China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University.

Tongji University is especially renowned for its engineering, business and architecture programs. The university possesses a faculty of more than 2,803 scholars, including 27 members from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Currently, Tongji University owns 29 colleges, 8 affiliated hospitals, and 6 affiliated primary and secondary schools.

4)Southeast University  (Ranks No.17 in China)

Southeast University (simplified Chinese: 东南大学; traditional Chinese: 東南大學; pinyin: Dōngnán Dàxué, SEU), colloquially Dongda (Chinese: 东大; pinyin: Dōngdà) is a public research university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. It was part of one of the oldest universities and the first coeducational university in China.

It is a member of both Project 985 and Project 211, and sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China aiming to become a well-known world-class university. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University.

5)Northwestern Polytechnical University (Ranks No.24 in China)

Northwestern Polytechnical University (also known as NPU or NWPU; Chinese: 西北工业大学; pinyin: Xīběi Gōngyè Dàxué) is a National Key University, directed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, located in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University and is a member of Project 985 and Project 211.

NPU specializes in education and research in the fields of aeronautical, astronautical and marine engineering. As of 2012, NPU had 13,736 graduate students (3,063 full-time doctorate candidates, 7,087 master candidates, 3,586 professional degree candidates) and 14,395 undergraduate students.SEU has been ranked among the top 20 research universities in China, and among the top 300 in the world. In the official subject ranking conducted by the Ministry of Education of China, SEU has been ranked top three nationally in 8 fields including architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, art history, civil engineering, electronic engineering, transportation engineering and biomedical engineering.

6)East China University of Science and Technology (Ranks No.33 in China

East China University of Science and Technology (simplified Chinese: 华东理工大学; traditional Chinese: 華東理工大學; pinyin: Huádōng Lǐgōng Dàxué, English acronym ECUST) is a research university located in Shanghai, China. Originally established with a focus on chemical technology, it has evolved into a comprehensive university that covers all academic disciplines and offers a large variety of majors. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class Discipline University, with Double First Class status in certain disciplines. The school encompasses two campuses and a science park in the Xuhui, Fengxian and Jinshan districts of Shanghai.

7)Northeast Forestry University  (Ranks No.116 in China)

Northeast Forestry University (NEFU) was founded in 1952, under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China, and is entitled to enjoy support from the country’s initiatives, such as “Project 211” and the Innovation Platform for Prioritized Academic Disciplines.

NEFU is in the list of “Double First-Class” University Project, whose connotation is the country’s construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines. NEFU is situated in Harbin, the center of the largest state-owned forest region in China. The main campus covers 136 hectares. NEFU also has two education, research and practice bases, the Mao’er Mountain Experimental Forest Farm (also known as Mao’er Mountain National Forest Park) and the Liangshui Experimental Forest Farm (Liangshui National Natural Reserve). The total area of the university reaches 33,000 hectares.

8)Shenyang University of Chemical Technology  (Ranks No.266 in China)

Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (SYUCT) is located at the National Shenyang Economical & Technological Development Zone. Characterized by chemical industry, SYUCT has developed into a multi-disciplinary university with its focus on engineering disciplines. SYUCT has disciplines covering diverse fields such as engineering, science, management, economics, humanities, law, education, medicine and art.

SYUCT is the first batch of bachelor’s degree granting authority in China. It was founded in 1952 ,elevated to an undergraduate college and named Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology in 1958, changed its name to Liaoning University of Science and Technology in 1960, and then changed back to Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology in 1962. In 2010, it was renamed Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. SYUCT covers an area of almost 100 ha.. The campus blending academy, gardens and arts into one, is one of the most beautiful campuses in Liaoning Province of China. SYUCT currently offers 57 undergraduate programs, 13 primary and 53 secondary postgraduate programs. It has 14,000 full-time students and more than 900 teachers including 400 professors and associate professors. SYUCT owns 2 national centers of experimental teaching and more than 20 provincial key disciplines, lab and centers.

9)Shenzhen University (Ranks No.107 in China)

Shenzhen University (SZU) is a full-time comprehensive university accredited by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and is funded by Shenzhen local government. SZU was founded in 1983 and undertook its first enrollment the very same year at what Deng Xiaoping called “Shenzhen Speed”.Located on the picturesque coastline of Shenzhen Bay in South China, SZU’s 1.44 square kilometer campus, which boasts its own lake, spreads across rolling hills covered with lichee trees, an abundance of green space and works of art.

SZU has drawn much attention from domestic and overseas political, academic and business circles since its foundation. Deng Xiao Ping gave his personal recommendation to the university and Jiang Zemin penned the university’s characters in his own hand. Over the course of its young life, the university has received the visit of distinguished heads of state, scientists, researchers as well as that of Nobel Prize winner in Physics Dr. Yang Zhenning. Many celebrated figures have made donations to support the development of SZU and leading businesses and entrepreneurs have set up funds and scholarships in various disciplines.

10)Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (Ranks No. 296 in China)

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a multi-disciplinary university with an emphasis on engineering, and incorporating disciplines in science, arts, economics, management, and education. Combining the successful administrative experience of German universities of applied sciences with its own experience, ZUST explores ways of cultivating international talents with innovative spirits and strong skills. Zhejiang University of Science and Technology has two campuses. Xiaoheshan Campus is located in the historical and cultural city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, which is one of the most prosperous provinces in China. Situated at the foot of Xiaohe Mountain, it has a tranquil lake on its campus and is surrounded by rolling hills; Anji Campus is situated in Anji County, which has won the United Nations’ Habitat Scroll of Honor Award.

Xiaoheshan Campus is 30 minutes ride from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Westlake, 20 minutes ride from the world’s largest and most valuable retailer Alibaba headquarter
Currently, there are a total of more than 21,000 full-time students enrolled at ZUST. Among its 1300 or so faculty members, over 340 members have titles of professor and associate professor. It has 16 schools and offers 56 undergraduate programs and 11 English-taught postgraduate programs across a wide range of fields. Furthermore, ZUST has 3 state-level key majors, 9 provincial-level key majors, 3 provincial-level key labs and 8 provincial-level key disciplines.

11) Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (Ranks No. 220 in China)

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) is a teaching and research-oriented university with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Chinese materia medica as its leading subjects. As a provincial key university in Zhejiang, it is under the joint development by the Provincial Government of Zhejiang, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Ministry of Education.
Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is located near the south bank of Qiantang River, in the city of Hangzhou, a world-famous tourist resort known for its beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage. Based on Zhejiang Training School of TCM, founded in 1953, Zhejiang College of TCM was officially established in 1959 and relocated at the present place in 2000. In February 2006, it was renamed as Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. In September 2015, Fuchun Campus was put into use. The university now has two campuses covering an area of nearly 1000 mu, the total construction area exceeds 470,000 square meters.

Chongqing Medical University (CQMU),founded in 1956, is a key university under the administration of Chongqing Municipal Government with an integrated educational system of Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctor’s and Postdoctoral programs in medicine as well as other related fields. It is one of the 30 or so medical universities in China which are approved by the Ministry of Education in China to enroll foreign students to study the English-medium MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program. It is also listed among the Chinese medical universities in WHO’s official website and is recognized by ECFMG (Educational Committee for Foreign Medical Graduates) in the United States. Since 2001, it has been enrolling foreign students to study medicine. At present, 552 foreign students from 24 countries are pursuing their doctor dream in the university.

12) Jiaxing University  (Ranks No. 350 in China)

JXU offers 52 undergraduate (bachelor) programs for International students, covering 9 discipline categories, namely, science, engineering, literature, economics, management, laws, medicine, arts and education. 2 majors (Clinical Medicine and Accounting) are selected as national first-class undergraduate programs and 11 majors are selected as provincial first-class undergraduate programs. JXU has 11 national and provincial experimental teaching platforms as well.

Most undergraduate (bachelor) programs are taught in Chinese, while some English-medium undergraduate (bachelor) programs are also available. Graduates fulfilling all the degree and graduation requirements will be awarded the bachelor’s degree and graduation certificate.
