Dhaka, 26 July 2025 – Admission.ac  organized a webinar titled “From DIU to Japan”, to share the insights of higher education and scholarship opportunities in Japan for students of Daffodil International University (DIU).

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Bimal Chandra Das, Dean (In-Charge), Faculty of Science and Information Technology, DIU, and a Post-doctoral Fellow at The University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Tokyo, Japan, who attended as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Sheak Rashed Haider Noori, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DIU, joined the session as Special Guest.

A key highlight of the webinar was the participation of successful DIU alumni currently studying in Japan under prestigious scholarships such as MEXT, JASSO, and KCGI. Alumni speakers included:

• Mr. Fahim Sarkar, M.Sc. student, Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI)
• Ms. Rinvi Jaman Riti, Exchange Student, University of Electro-Communications (UEC)
• Ms. Shanjida Shefa, M.Sc. student, KCGI
• Mr. Mahmud Hasan, M.Sc. student, KCGI
• Ms. Subnum Anonna Akty, MEXT Scholar, UEC

These alumni shared their personal journeys, scholarship processes, cultural experiences, and academic challenges, aiming to guide and motivate aspiring students from DIU to pursue higher education in Japan.

The session was inaugurated by Mr. Kazi Mesbah Ur Rahman, Head of Operations at Admission.ac, who emphasized the importance of international exposure and the role of platforms like Admission.ac in bridging students with global opportunities. The event was moderated by Mr. Md. Noor-E-Kowser Pipas, Student Counsellor at Admission.ac.

Around 150 participants from DIU joined the Webinar.  It marked another milestone in Admission.ac’s commitment to empowering Bangladeshi youth through global education.
